What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Clear communication and regular updates emerge as the strongest thread running through the conveyancing, probate and wills work described by clients of this Burslem firm. Several reviewers recount buying or selling a home, from first-time purchases to a commercial property sale, and remark that questions sent by email or telephone met with swift replies. Something that features in review after review is how patiently complicated legal points were set out, whether the matter was a routine house move, a transaction delayed when a chain collapsed, or the winding up of an estate followed by a will revision.

Named members of staff, among them Gemma, Rachel, Victoria, Francesca Rushton, Julie Brammer and Sarah Everton, draw particular thanks for efficiency, approachability and calm support during difficult periods. Reviewers frequently point to that cases moved forward promptly and that correspondence reflected their instructions closely. The administration of an estate and the property sale that followed a bereavement are described as handled with both expertise and sympathy. Clients add that momentum was maintained throughout and that their affairs felt safely managed, with first-time buyers finding each stage easy to follow.

I contacted this firm regarding a neighbour access dispute. The solicitor I dealt with appeared knowledgeable and initially gave me confidence in the case. However, I became increasingly disappointed with the lack of meaningful progress despite very substantial legal costs. Over time, I was repeatedly asked to fund expensive further work, including paying more than £2,000 for a barrister’s opinion, while at the same time being advised that court proceedings would be extremely expensive and subject to very long delays. I was then later asked to pay for another barrister’s opinion without a clear explanation as to why the first opinion had not addressed the relevant issues. In the end, after spending close to £10,000 in legal fees, I felt no closer to a practical resolution and ultimately decided to pursue matters myself through the small claims process. My main frustration was the absence of a clear strategy, meaningful progression, or cost-effective route toward resolving the dispute. Communication was satisfactory, but every phone call and email seemed to generate further significant costs without corresponding progress. This was simply my personal experience, but I would strongly encourage anyone instructing the firm to ensure they have a very clear understanding of likely overall costs, objectives, and litigation strategy from the outset.

Myers were representing and guiding me through the process of my mum passing and dealing with her estate. Then updating my will and lastly with conveyancing in the sale of my mums property. They both handled each situation with expertise and compassion. First rate service from Francesca Rushton & Julie Brammer.

Recently used them to complete a house move. Communication was great, emails responded to in a timely manor. Felt they kept the momentum going throughout the process and completed in good time. No complaints and would thoroughly recommend.

Been working with Jessica whilst buying my first house with my other half. She’s been brilliant and so helpful. Always got back to us promptly if she couldn’t speak at the time we called and pushed for us to move in as soon as could as we were very eager. Would recommend.

Totally recommend! Gemma was absolutely fantastic. We sold our house to emigrate to Australia, the sale fell through due to the seller changing their mind which delayed the process. Gemma was super efficient, supportive, helpful, always replied to our emails and kept us up to date even though we were living in Australia. She guided us through what was needed and completely everything quickly without any delays.
