4.3(650 reviews)·London

PLS Solicitors London holds a 4.3 rating from 650 Google reviews. Many reviewers, particularly first-time buyers, praise named conveyancers such as Annabel, Louis and Chloe for clear, patient communication and keeping them updated at each stage of a purchase. However, a recurring group of reviewers describe frustration with slow responses and unresolved post-completion matters, so it is worth confirming how queries will be handled after your transaction completes.

I strongly do NOT recommend PSL Solicitors. My experience with them has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. The communication is absolutely awful. Whenever I call, I am often told that the person I need is working from home or has already left the office early. Getting a clear update is incredibly difficult, and I constantly feel like I have to chase them just to get any progress. They have been reviewing what appears to be a single document for months. If I don’t chase them, nothing seems to happen. I paid extra money for a translation of the latest document because I was told this would help them deal with it as quickly as possible. Despite this, the document and the latest bank statement I provided for review have still been delayed. What is even more frustrating is the lack of accountability. I have repeatedly been told that the delays are because the seller’s solicitor has not sent documents. However, there has been very little proactive communication or urgency from PSL Solicitors to resolve the situation or keep us properly informed. We are now under huge pressure because the estate agency is pushing us to give notice to our current landlord, but we are unable to do this because of the ongoing delays and the lack of a clear timeline. Buying a property is already stressful enough without having to constantly chase your own solicitors for updates and progress. I expected a professional service, clear communication, and a sense of urgency. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience at all. Based on my experience, I would not recommend PSL Solicitors. I am extremely disappointed with the level of service, communication, and progress on our case.

PLS Solicitors acted for us on the purchase of our first home and unfortunately our experience was very mixed. One positive I have to mention is that there was always someone available to answer the phone. Even if it wasn’t our assigned case handler, there was always somebody willing to provide an update which is something we really appreciated given how difficult it can be to contact solicitors. Unfortunately, that was where the positives ended for us. Our first case handler was extremely difficult to get hold of. I repeatedly chased for updates and requested call backs that never happened. In fact, I didn’t speak to her on the phone until months into the process, and only because I happened to get through by chance. Our case was then reassigned after she left the firm but sadly the communication issues continued with our new case handler. What concerned us most was the lack of attention to detail. We were sent an interim completion statement with Stamp Duty charged twice. I raised this immediately and formally escalated it, assuming it would be corrected before completion. However, when we received the final completion statement exactly the same mistake had been made again. On top of that, other figures on the bill were incorrect, and we had to calculate the correct amounts ourselves and point out the errors. For such significant legal documents, involving one of the biggest financial commitments most people will ever make, I found this extremely worrying. Clients should be able to trust that every figure has been checked thoroughly and is accurate to the penny. Having to carry out our own due diligence on legal documents simply shouldn’t be necessary. Buying your first home is already stressful enough and while we appreciate that mistakes can happen, repeating the same error after it had already been highlighted was very disappointing. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t choose PLS Solicitors again. If you do instruct them, I would strongly recommend checking every document and every figure carefully yourself rather than assuming everything has been verified. That level of scrutiny should not be the client’s responsibility, but unfortunately it became ours.

As first‑time home buyers, we were naturally anxious about choosing the right solicitors, but Annabel and her team made the entire process smooth and stress free. She was very helpful, responsive to our enquiries, and kept us updated at every stage. PLS Solicitors was recommended to us by a colleague, and based on our experience, we are very happy to recommend them to others as well. Thank you for the amazing service.

It was my first house purchase, so for me as a woman with little patience, the process felt a bit slow, but I was aware that the waiting time is usually long. I also want to thank my solicitor, who replied to my emails very quickly and kept chasing the seller’s solicitor whenever there were delays. I wish them many more successful completions in the future.

Buying my first home was honestly one of the most stressful things I’ve ever done, but Louis and his team at PLS Solicitors made the whole experience feel so much more manageable. From the very beginning, Louis was clear, patient, and genuinely reassuring. As a first-time buyer, I had a lot of questions (some probably quite basic), but he never made me feel silly for asking them. Everything was explained in a way that actually made sense, which gave me a lot of confidence throughout the process. What really stood out was the communication. I was always kept up to date, and any emails or calls were responded to quickly. It felt like they actually cared about getting things done properly and on time, rather than just treating me like another case. There were a few moments where things could have become overwhelming, but Louis stayed calm and on top of everything, guiding me through each step. That kind of steady support made a huge difference. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience as a first-time buyer. Professional, reliable, and genuinely supportive from start to finish. I’d absolutely recommend Louis and his team to anyone, especially if you’re buying your first property and want people you can trust to guide you through it.

I had a fantastic experience with Chloe and her team at PLS Solicitors during my shared ownership purchase. From the very beginning, Chloe was incredibly kind, efficient, and supportive. She really took the time to listen to my situation - I had explained that I was working with tight timelines due to needing to give notice on my rented flat - and she was genuinely understanding and accommodating. She and her team worked tirelessly to keep everything moving quickly and smoothly. Thanks to their dedication and proactive approach, I was able to complete on my new home in less than 28 days from the date I reserved the flat, which is even earlier than when I had officially instructed them as my solicitors. An amazing result that I honestly didn’t think was possible. Chloe has been an absolute pleasure to work with - professional, responsive, and truly committed to helping her clients. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone going through the shared ownership process.

I very rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel I have no choice in this instance. The post-completion service from PLS has been extremely disappointing. My car park space has still not been transferred into my name, and I have been trying to get a response for over two months with no progress. Each time I call, I am placed on hold, and no manager is available to speak with me. Three weeks ago, I was assured by a member of the team that their manager, Louise Kirk, had escalated the issue and that I would receive an update the same day. Unfortunately, I have heard nothing since. Despite making two further attempts to follow up, there has still been no resolution. This situation is now becoming increasingly serious, and I would urgently appreciate a response and a clear timeline for resolving this matter.
