What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Family law and leasehold property work brought to this Norwich firm draws a varied picture from those who have used its services. The partners, lawyers and support staff come across as warm and friendly, and several accounts note their ability to make complicated legal processes easier to follow. One reviewer credits the firm with seeing a drawn-out sale through to completion once the required information was supplied. Responsiveness and cost are the themes that recur most often.

Reviewers describe slow reactions to requests, trouble getting a solicitor on the telephone or by email, and deadlines that slipped, together with fees felt to be out of proportion to the work done. Being kept waiting for updates appears repeatedly, and one client reports feeling they were not addressed with the courtesy expected despite paying for the service. A member of the family law team is named in an account describing encouragement into expensive litigation that the reviewer believed left both sides worse off. Family matters and leasehold conveyancing both feature, and outcomes were generally reached, if not without friction.

Slow to action requests, Poor Communication, Struggle to meet there own deadlines. Got the job done eventually which is the reason for the 2 stars otherwise it would of been 1 but i wouldn't recommend them.

I strongly advise anyone NOT to engage the contentious probate team at Mills & Reeve in Norwich led by David Catchpole. From my experience, they will manage a case to obtain the highest possible fees, without regard to the strength of the case or the position of the party instructing them. Consider yourself warned and find a cheaper and more transparent local firm.

I've given one star as this firm did finally give all the information needed during a prolonged sale. Very expensive fees for rarely answering the phone or emails to our solicitors and other professionals questions. Very slow in finally replying .Although we had to pay fees to them as part of a leasehold agreement they still refused to speak with us . Very abrupt.mannet too .If you want solicitors to act on your behalf and keep you updated or deal with issues without long delays then look elsewhere .
