About the company

Mike Ramsay is a notary public in Glasgow, Scotland. In Scotland, only solicitors with a practising certificate can act as notaries. The practice provides notarisation, legalisation, and apostille services. It witnesses documents, notarises powers of attorney, and provides certified copies of ID, birth, marriage certificates, and educational qualifications.

Mobile appointments are offered, with the notary coming to clients' homes or offices. Powers of attorney for the UK and overseas territories are frequently notarised. Appointments are accepted at short notice, subject to availability. The practice is part of the MyNotary Network, an informal collection of notaries public across England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.

What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

In Glasgow, Notary Glasgow has built a reputation on the kind of swift, personable service that notarial work often fails to deliver. More than one customer describes the notarisation of documents being handled without fuss, with one noting that vehicle paperwork was processed efficiently and another describing how witnessing and verification were completed with minimal waiting. A recurring theme is the approachability of Mike, who is repeatedly named for his patience when explaining what a document requires and for making the process feel calm rather than bureaucratic.

Reviewers mention his willingness to accommodate busy schedules, including opening early so a client could attend before work, and his thoroughness in checking that paperwork was correctly drafted. The tone of the feedback is consistently warm, with clients describing staff as kind, polite and quick to resolve issues, both on the telephone and in person. Communication before and after the appointment is a point that comes up often, and the expertise on offer extends to Commissioner for Oaths work and general legal services. The experience described is one of promptness, clarity and genuine helpfulness, with documents notarised correctly and clients left reassured by the advice they received.
