What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Legal knowledge and practical guidance on family matters recur throughout the feedback. Mark and Ashley are named repeatedly for handling complex disputes, including a court case in which assets were unfrozen and costs recovered, while another client describes Ashley as wonderful throughout the process. Charlotte King and Elizabeth Bruce attract praise for their supportive work on sensitive custody arrangements, and reviewers often note that fees were reasonable, particularly when set against previous solicitors. Professionalism and efficiency in resolving matters come up frequently, whether the issue involves shared custody, divorce, mediation or wider family law advice.

Honest guidance and a shared focus on reaching a common goal feature in more than one account, together with the friendly and approachable manner of the team. Clients who have worked with the practice over several years describe a service that keeps their interests to the fore and achieves results, with one parent expressing relief that her daughter is now safe following representation. The picture that emerges is of a practice combining legal expertise with genuine care for the outcome. Instructions are followed through from first contact to conclusion.

Professional but if you are experiencing covert financial abuse seek out a specialist in this. I sought to recoup my original unmatched contribution and recover some of the money I had lost in paying off my ex husband’s credit cards which the practice helped me to secure. However I felt very frustrated when my ex didn’t complete the D81 truthfully. My solicitor indicated that I should let it go as I already had ‘the lions share’ when in reality I only stood to claw back my own contribution plus a small portion of what I had lost to deception over the years. At the time this compounded my feelings that I was being unreasonable in beginning to stand up for myself after years of deception and being told I was being unreasonable when questioning anything financial within the marriage. My ex husband is very charming and had a lengthy phone conversation with my solicitor at one point for which I was billed £140. I have dyscalculia; I’m not great with numbers which is probably what made me vulnerable to financial abuse. The one thing I needed help with was completing the D81 form. Unfortunately the practice miscalculated the value of my NHS pension which over valued it significantly and created a lengthy process with the courts with consideration being given to my ex husband’s entitlement to something which doesn’t exist. Ironically it was I who spotted the miscalculation eventually. I have since found evidence of historical financial borrowing in my name, arranged without my knowledge and I am pursuing this with the lender so the fall out from being subjected to covert emotional and financial abuse for 20 years continues which makes it especially unfortunate that the financial remedy part of the divorce was so unnecessarily protracted and distressing, much to my ex husband’s delight. It was a damaging experience on top of everything. I guess it’s not something that all practices have expertise in and it was my error in hindsight for not seeking out one which does.

Mark has helped me on more than one occasion. If you need honest advice and a focus towards a common goal, I can highly recommend TFLP and Mark Sage.

I was recommended to use the family law practice by another solicitor Mark and Ashley helped in my case and were first class In 1 of my court cases my ex froze all My money Mark and Ashley got it unfroze and all my cost cost back They no the law and give great advise and saved me more assets than I thought well worth the money I paid. My ex solicitor was cheaper and in 1 of the court cases I listened to their side get basically a 2 hour telling off by the judge. I found out that you get what you pay for. Thank you Mark and Ashley for helping me through that difficult time and great value for money and along with other assets I kept all my company

I first contacted the family law practice in 2019 for advice. I was then allocated Charlotte king as my solicitor. The family law practice have been nothing but supportive. My daughter is now safe, and compared to other solicitor's I have had previously the prices charged were very reasonable and service was so much better. Charlotte is an asset to this law practice, and Elizabeth Bruce again very supportive. There was never a moment that charlotte was not there when I needed to discuss anything. I would highly recommend using this firm if you need help with a family matter. Thank you so much.
