I am from Hong Kong. I am a UK property investor. Recently, I needed a reliable solicitor for the purchase of my property. It was fortunate that I found Monarch Solicitors. I was communicating with Bethany Hawkins of Monarch Solicitors through the whole buying process. Monarch is willing to provide legal services to non-UK purchasers. It took a long time for me to go through the anti-laundering requirements. Bethany was patient and professional carefully guiding me to complete other procedures in the buying process. I would recomment Monarch to people who are interested in UK property investment without hesitation, particularly to non-UK citizens.

My experience with Monarch Solicitors was deeply disappointing. I found the communication style aggressive, dismissive, and unnecessarily confrontational throughout the process. I also became aware that Serena Amani is previously known as Shazda Ali Ahmed, which raised questions for me personally around professional reputation and transparency. Why would you change you name, you can’t hide your poor reputation by name change. Others may wish to carry out their own due diligence before engaging the firm. Overall, I would not recommend this solicitor or firm based on my experience. Keep away and use any other firm.
