The office is located in Whitchurch, North Cardiff, approximately five minutes from Junction 32 of the M4 and the A470, and a five-minute walk from Llandaff Railway Station and the centre of Whitchurch Village.

The office is close to Companies House and can collect documents ordered before 12 noon for same-day notarisation. She is not currently registered for VAT. The main services include notarisation and legalisation of documents for businesses and individuals.

Fay A Mortimer Notary Public draws consistent praise for swift, helpful notarial work in Cardiff. Customers repeatedly describe being offered appointments at short notice, with several noting that enquiries sent by email were answered the same day and that meetings followed almost immediately. The notarisation of documents, including apostilles and legalisation for use overseas, features often in feedback, as does the arranging of courier delivery to destinations abroad. Reviewers highlight clarity about costs, with fair pricing mentioned alongside practical advice that in one instance spared a client unnecessary expense.

Communication before and after the work is a recurring theme, covering out-of-hours correspondence and assistance with witnessing requirements for an Irish passport application. Fay Mortimer is named regularly and described as professional, friendly and efficient, with clients remarking that last-minute and corrected requests were handled calmly and without fuss. Turnaround is another common point, with documents signed, sent and returned within a matter of days. The service is also noted for making a stressful process feel manageable, and the willingness to accommodate urgent deadlines comes up often. For marriage documents to be used abroad, the same pattern of quick appointments and prompt dispatch appears.
