Today, I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to Ditesh and Stephanie at Bark & Co. For almost seven years, I had a serious conspiracy case hanging over my head while remaining under investigation. The stress, anxiety, and uncertainty of living with such serious allegations for so long had a huge impact on my life. I wanted to take the time to personally thank my solicitor Trishna who currently work’s at barkandcosilicitors and share how much her support has meant to me. From the very start, she treated me like a person, not just a case. During one of the most stressful and uncertain times in my life, she gave me reassurance, honesty, and real support. Everything she told me, she stood by and that meant a lot when I didn’t know what to expect. my case involving possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, and possession of an accessory for a firearm (a “switch” used to turn a weapon from semi-automatic to automatic), I was originally facing Category 1A sentencing guidelines with a starting point of 8 and a half years. Thanks to the work she did alongside my barrister, they were able to bring this down to Category 2A Sentencing guidelines with a starting point of 7 and a half years. I know that isn’t something that just happens it took real effort, preparation, and belief in my case. Because of that, I ended up with a 5-year sentence, and with the 40% applied, I served around 2 years. That result has made a huge difference to my life and my future. She also supported me through the charges relating to concern to supply Class A and Class B substances. Again, she worked hard to get the best possible outcome, and I received 27 months running concurrently with my other sentence. Knowing that she was fighting for me in every aspect of my case gave me a lot of strength. What stood out the most to me was how consistent and genuine she was throughout everything. She never made false promises, but she always gave me hope and did everything she could to back it up. She kept me informed, answered my questions, and made sure I understood what was happening at every stage. I truly feel that without her, the outcome could have been much worse.
