Leah was very patient and took the time to explain the defects and the implications these would have as the seller's were unwilling to remedy them, providing clear and straightforward advice. Whilst we did not proceed to exchange, Leah and her wider team were always very helpful, personable and professional whenever we liased with them on both our sale and purchase. Would highly recommend.
Karl helped me with a work related matter and was so professional and helpful throughout the whole process inefficiencies cannot thank him enough.

Howells have been acting on behalf of our buyers on a property that we accepted an offer on in May 2024. Howells have been extremely poor throughout the process, which is still not completed in May 2025, one year later. The purchase has been passed onto to multiple different solicitors to deal with, they have made repeated mistakes and taken excessively long periods of time to respond which has delayed the whole process. I would not use Howells to purchase or sell a property.
I was very pleased with the service provided by the Employment Law team. They offered clear, efficient advice while also being understanding and empathetic, a balance that is not easy to achieve. Karl and Hannah were excellent to work with and demonstrated high levels of professionalism and integrity throughout. I felt well supported and confident in the guidance I received. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
We were disappointed with the service provided by Howells Legal during the handling of our seller’s forward purchase. According to the estate agent and our solicitor, communication was consistently poor, with slow responses and long periods where they had no updates unless we chased repeatedly. This caused unnecessary stress and delays in what is already a time-sensitive process. Due to the lack of progress, I took it upon myself to contact one of the partners directly out of desperation to get the sale moving. Rather than addressing the concerns or offering assistance, I was abruptly shut down and told they would not respond to me. This felt dismissive and unhelpful, particularly given the urgency of the situation.
I have recently used Sara’s team at Howells for my purchase and sale. We had Cheyanne dealing with our case and she was fantastic! She made sure to always keep us up to date and added a very calming tone to a stressful situation. After some complications with the process I believe that Cheyanne played a huge part in the transaction not falling through. Thank you so much for your help, it is greatly appreciated!
