We just bought our first house and we were blown away by our solicitor and legal assistants, Amy Courtney, Lauren Maton and Sarah Mowlem. Massively professional at all times, kept us up to date and were never frustrated by my unending questions. Always willing to chat things through. I always felt they had our best interests at heart and really made sure all aspects of our legal process were done properly and would benefit us in the long term. I cannot recommend enough!

I was advised by solicitor from Citizen Advice to contact Giles Solicitor. I have phoned the office and spoken to secretary, I asked for appointment with Matt but I was told he is not available. So I briefly explained my case I was told that other solicitor is available and they will contact me back within few hours. Unfortunately they never did. Really disappointed with lack of response and poor service.

We bought and sold our houses with Gales. We found them to be very efficient and communicated well throughout the process. We worked mostly with Chris and Ros who were both great to work with and always on hand to speak to on the day if needed.

Every part of the process was done in a timely manner, I never once had to ask what was happening. I had a very bad experience with another Solicitors last time with zero communication, but my experience with Gales couldn’t have been better. I dealt with a few members of the team, all of which were responsive and helpful and got this over the line in approximately 8 weeks after the chain was complete to beat the stamp duty deadline. In regards to Family Law: I felt very supported & could not fault the service provided to me. I feel I was given the best advice from Matthew & his team & regardless of the fact the other party didn't turn up to court, which I think solidified my case even more, I firmly believe it was the time & effort put into the case on my behalf, the communication, attentive meetings regarding the outcome I desired, the confidence in the statement prepared and read out at court coupled with the calm manner from Matthew ensured we won the case. Utter waste of time. Wasted over a year. No win no fee situation but told I would have to pay about 1/3 of my winnings in fees which I agreed. Such a long drawn out process. Could have been fast tracked so much quicker as getting no response from the other side. But it was just sat on due to pure incompetence. Calls rarely taken or returned. Emails pretty much never answered. Then my solicitor, James Hunter tells me after speaking to his colleagues that my winnings will probably all be gone in fees. What an utter waste of time, getting paperwork together, calls, emails, going to appointments. Bitterly disappointing. You knew roughly what my winnings were likely to be with the interest on top and surely you know appropriately your fees. Utter waste of time me digging up paperwork from various sources from back in 2020. Office a disgrace too. Why would you take a client in there, total chaotic mess, utter shambles, files and paperwork everywhere. Avoid.
