Shelly and Sally were brilliant in helping us through a frustrating conveyancing process. They kept us updated throughout and were always happy to answer any questions we had.

Our purchase was complicated when our original solicitors went into administration 5 months into us selling our house and buying our new home. We researched firms with offices within our area and saw Elliot Mather and recognised the name immediately. I have to say the they did not disappoint. Shelly and Sally were absolutely amazing and from start to finish, we were kept updated at each stage. We could phone the office, leave a message and receive a call back to discuss anything relating to the process. Having had our initial solicitors shut down overnight was very distressing but Elliot Mather were quite simply outstanding and went above and beyond to ensure our sake, and our purchase went through without issue. I would definitely recommend them for their service, professionalism and caring manner.

I instructed Elliot Mather LLP in September 2025 to assist with a Consumer Rights Act vehicle rejection case and paid £504 on account for their services. After the initial pre-action letter was sent, communication from the firm effectively stopped. Emails and phone calls went unanswered, and promises of updates “by the end of the day” were never kept. I was left without guidance or progress for weeks. The lack of communication and accountability caused unnecessary stress and delayed my case. I ultimately had to terminate their instructions and pass the matter over to a firm who could dedicate the time it needed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm. I expected a minimum level of professionalism and responsiveness after paying in advance, and that standard was not met. (This review reflects my genuine experience and opinion as a former client)

Excellent firm. Staff are extremely efficient, (particularly Conveyancing and Probate departments) and friendly, nothing is too much effort for them.

First I'd like to say it is a very professional firm, the person delt with my matter is patient and responsible. However, I didn't give 5 stars due to a common things in the legal industry, which is not very designated to individual situations. I got a very nice report with a few recommendations and options; however, about 50% of them are irrelevant to my case. Legally they are good options, but in the real business situation I dealt with, those options will not work or are unsuitable for my needs. So eventually, I feel happy to receive good support, but on the other hand, I also thought I spent too much unnecessary time and spend. This message probably is not only for your firm, as I felt it is an industry problem, but I hope you become the first few who can start tailoring your service and skills to each individual.

Amy and the others in Derby have been absolutely fantastic. The replies have been quick and have always answered my questions no matter how silly! I am exchanging next week, took around 8/9 weeks . So happy I choose this firm. Thanks everyone.
